Back to the same old grind

They say all good things must come to an end...and in my life I guess that's true. Today I said goodbye to winter vacation and once again returned to that world of adolescents we call public school. It was difficult to get up this morning. Over the break I had all but reversed my sleeping schedule--going to bed late and getting up late so needless to say I was a little slow getting going this morning.
But what a break it was! The week of Christmas I hung out with friends and family, spoke in church, taught Sunday School, celebrated Christmas and my dad's birthday, and made some gifts with my sweet sewing machine. During the week of New Year's, I spent every night with friends, sewed some more, and just had an all-around great week. I even took in a couple of movies. Bergs and I went to The Blind Side on Wednesday night. What a great movie! I would recommend it to anyone. Then on Saturday night, Michelle and I went to Monty Python and the Holy Grail at the DanSante. It is the most random movie but funny nonetheless.
My New Year's Eve was soooo fun. The Michelle's and I got all dressed up and went to dinner at Iron Gate Grill. Bergs and I had steaks while Michelle ate some pasta. Are we surprised??? Then we had a "sweat party" and resurrected the old RCM and its comical pastimes. I'm especially happy about the pictures we got of the evening.
I was truly blessed over the break to have had the opportunity to make some great memories. Although it is over, I know that great things are in store for me in 2010 and I look forward to an exciting year!
