The play-by-play:
Saturday 4 September
*hot chocolate with one of my favorite people (He didn't realize it was my birthday when we got together but coincidently our first meeting had to be rearranged and Saturday just happened to work best so I think it was meant to be ;o) )
*temple session at the Ogden Temple with Michelle and Heather followed by dinner at La Ferrovia and ice cream at Farr Better (Check out this link for the full story)
Monday 6 September
*fishing and shooting with my dad and brother
*chatting with my brother and his kids in TX (The 6th is his birthday and he turned 33. According to his son Landon, they went out to dinner for my birthday but didn't actually think about me during said dinner. Landon's 6. He tells it like it is. :o) They happened to go to a barbeque place, which I thought was ironic. -->see Friday 10 September)
*birthday dinner with the fam which consisted of steak, dutch oven potatoes, grilled zuchinni, cucumbers in vinegar, ginger ale, and tunnel cake (aka The cake I've chosen for my birthday for probably 20 years which is absolutely delicious!)
Friday 10 September
*birthday dinner #2 with Heather, Michelle, and Michelle at Smokin' Blues Barbeque followed by hilarious conversations at "the house" and the consumption of mysterious cupcakes
Thursday 16 September
*Lion King and Olive Garden dinner in Salt Lake with my mom and Patti (My mom asked what I wanted for my birthday and while I could think of plenty of "practical" things I decided on Lion King tickets. She has a sweet connection with on of wardrobe masters for the show so he hooked us up with a backstage tour and excellent tickets. It was an AWESOMELY AMAZING night!)
As I think back over my celebration and look at the pictures that documented each of the events, I realize how truly blessed I am. I've got great friends, a fabulous family, and so many things to be thankful for. Life is good.

Oh, man, those suspicious cupcakes. Still, all the activities I attended were super awesome :)
